Palitronica collaborates with Continental AG to enhance hardware assurance and cybersecurity resilience through Anvil Checkpoint technology with support from OVIN

Waterloo, Ontario – August 18, 2025 – Palitronica Inc., a Canadian quality assurance and cybersecurity technology company, proudly announces funding support from the Government of Ontario through the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) This project will accelerate Palitronica’s collaboration with global automotive technology giant Continental AG, to further develop and scale its Anvil Checkpoint, a pioneering solution designed to verify and ensure the integrity of automotive electronic components. The initiative has a total project value of nearly $3.1 million, including $1 million from the Government of Ontario through OVIN R&D Partnership Fund,. and aims to advance critical capabilities in component-level verification and cybersecurity assurance.

“By investing in homegrown innovation and helping local companies compete in global markets, Ontario is protecting the future of our automotive sector and ensuring the cars of the future are made in Ontario, by Ontario workers,” said Victor Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Through the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network, our government is strengthening our domestic supply chain, driving competitiveness and resilience, and creating good-paying jobs that will withstand this storm of tariffs and economic uncertainty.”

Anvil Checkpoint offers a vendor-agnostic, non-destructive, and black-box testing solution that uses advanced RF signal analysis and machine learning to verify electronic devices’ authenticity, detect tampering, and ensure material integrity. In its initial proof-of-concept project with Continental, Anvil Checkpoint successfully detected complex, real-world hardware modifications in Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) modules.

With support from the Ontario government, Palitronica and Continental will:

  • Expand the solution’s application scope to additional automotive components.

  • Scale testing capacity to 10,000 TPMS units at Continental’s manufacturing facility in Toulouse, France.

  • Integrate Anvil Checkpoint technology into Continental’s end-of-line quality assurance and cybersecurity processes.
